ARTrageous Sugar Plump Fairies Grant Guidelines Fiscal Year 2010 Application Deadline: Grant Amount: Mission Statement of the Sugar Plump Fairies: Through creativity, silliness, and fun-raising, The Sugar Plump Fairies seek to inspire the generosity of others to provide the youth of the Auburn area with greater access to the Arts in all its forms. Grant Program Description and Objectives: The Sugar Plump Fairies use performance art and creativity to support good works in the community. We believe that the arts can open minds, provide inspiration, connect people across cultural, racial, and class boundaries, and generally enhance the quality of life for individuals and our community. The purpose of the Sugar Plump Fairy Grant Program, Artrageous is to provide mini-grants, not to exceed $500.00, for creative projects that will expose our Auburn area youth to the diverse world of the arts. We hope to inspire youth to use their own creativity to enhance their lives and the community. ~Artists, performers, writers, musicians, etc., desiring to bring a program to children of the greater Auburn Area. ~ Non-profit organizations ~Schools ~Service clubs and youth groups ~Individual youth, ages 3-18, who reside in the greater Auburn area, and have the support of a parent or guardian for their grant request. ~On-going staff positions ~For-profit groups ~Political or faith–based activities. ~Fundraisers of any kind ~Projects that discriminate on the basis of race, nationality, gender, sexual orientation, religious beliefs, or disability.

Applications will be reviewed by Sugar Plump Fairy board members for eligibility, adherence to guidelines, and support of our purpose. Emphasis will be put on culturally diverse experiences, numbers of youth benefiting, and originality of the project. Notification and Payment of Grant: Applicants will be notified of the status of their application for funds within 60 days of each deadline. The Sugar Plump Fairies will provide the funds within 2 weeks of receiving an invoice and/or supporting documentation if we provide partial funding. Successful applicants will agree to sign a contract with the Sugar Plump Fairies. Grantees must complete a final report within 30 days of the completion of the project, summarizing results of the project. |
